Is it best to charge "iPhone" at bedtime?
What is the best charging method that extends the battery life of the iPhone? I myself had such a question, so I decided to do some experiments. The results are introduced below. Before I am overwhelmed by the "iOS 15" and "iPados 15", I did the same thing as other millions of users before going to bed. In other words, I was charging my iPhone while I was sleeping. I thought it was an appropriate charging method. A few weeks ago, I was wondering if it was a very strange charging method. This is especially true for devices such as the new "iPhone 13" that can be charged quickly. In the iPhone 13, 50 % of the charger is used in about 30 minutes using a 20W charger. Apple is currently equipped with "iOS" with "Optimized Battery Charging". If you are always charging at bedtime, if the battery level reaches 80 %, it will stop charging the iPhone once, and the remaining 20 % will be charged when you wake up in the morning. However, the iPhone is still connected to the power supply overnight. It's a long time. It may be one -third or longer of the life of the iPhone. Therefore, the charging method of the iPhone was fundamentally changed. Instead of charging at night, I charged it once or twice during the day. The charging schedule that I feel best for me is as follows. Charge 30 to 45 minutes after getting up every morning (at the same time, "Apple Watch" is charged). After that, in the afternoon, it will be charged for about 30 minutes to reach the remaining 80 %. In my case, if there is such a remaining amount, it is usually unnecessary to charge until the next morning. If you spend a lot of time inside or outdoors, use a charger in the car or carry a mobile battery. This method works effectively. I think the load on the battery and charger of the iPhone will be reduced (it will eventually be clear whether this hypothesis is correct). Since only the charger on the bedside is used, it is important to think in advance where you need a charger. There is no problem with this charging method, whether you are at home, on a business trip, or traveling. If you answer the questions you often ask, I am still charging using a cable instead of wireless and using a 20W "Anker Nano" USB-C charger. For mobile batteries, they use chocolate bar -size "Anker Astro E1" (6700mAh) and larger "Anker PowerCore 10000 REDUX" (10,000 MAH). Both have excellent portability and reliability, and are sturdy and wonderful mobile batteries. However, be careful not to forget the charging cable.
