~ Randomization comparison test for about 4,000 people ~

株式会社エムティーアイ　国立成育医療研究センター（東京都世田谷区、理事長：五十嵐 隆）の梅澤 明弘研究所長、再生医療センター横溝 陵研究員らのグループと、女性の健康情報サービス「ルナルナ」を運営する株式会社エムティーアイ（東京都新宿区、代表取締役社長：前多 俊宏）は、共同研究として「ルナルナ」を用いて約4,000人の利用者を対象としたランダム化比較試験（※1）をスマートフォンアプリ（以下、「アプリ」）内で実施し、アプリを用いた不妊治療に関する情報提供が利用者の知識向上に寄与することを明らかにしました。また、日本における不妊治療についてのリテラシーの現状と課題も明らかになり、エビデンスに基づく質の高い情報提供方法の開発につながるものと期待されます。本研究成果は、英誌「Nature」の関連誌である「npj Digital Medicine」（※2）(2 year Impact Factor=11.653, JCR2020) に掲載されました（日本時間2121年11月30日19時00分公開）。【ポイント】【研究の背景・目的】　日本の夫婦の約3組に1組（35％）は、自分たちは不妊ではないかと心配したことがあり、約6組に1組（18.2％）は不妊症の検査、または治療を受けたことがあります。（出典：2015年　国立社会保障・人口問題研究所　第15回出生動向基本調査（結婚と出産に関する全国調査））また、不妊治療における悩み事として「不妊治療に関する正しい知識・情報の収集」「治療をステップアップすべきかの判断」「いつまで治療を続けるべきかの判断」をあげる患者も多く見受けられます（出典：2019年　ルナルナにて実施の調査、調査対象：不妊治療の経験がある20～49歳の女性874名　調査実施期間：2019年6月14日～19日）。　このように患者が情報の正しさに悩むこと、治療について自己決定が難しいことといった不妊治療の問題を解決すべく、ビッグデータの活用により妊娠・出産に関する知見をサービスに反映させてきた実績を持つ「ルナルナ」と、日本の成育医療の中心的な存在である国立成育医療研究センター研究所の梅澤 明弘所長らのグループは、不妊治療に関する共同研究を2020年から実施しています。今回はその共同研究の第一弾として、アプリを使った情報提供が利用者のリテラシー向上につながるかを検証し、不妊治療に関する情報配信の手段としてアプリが有用かを検討しました。【研究成果の概要】本研究は、国立成育医療研究センターの不妊治療医、医学研究者と、「ルナルナ」を事業展開する株式会社エムティーアイのデータサイエンティストからなるチームが実施しました。本研究では、「ルナルナ」の妊娠希望ステージに登録している利用者を対象に、アプリを通して不妊治療の情報を提供するグループ(介入群)と、女性のカラダの知識など不妊治療以外の情報を提供するグループ(対照群)に分けて、検証を行いました。
